Director of Children’s Ministry – Sharan Crabtree
AT OUR CONGREGATIONAL MEETING on July 19, the congregation will be asked to affirm this recommendation from the board.
Sharan and her family have been a part of the WEFC family for 12 years. She and her husband, Don, have two children: Lauren (Messiah College) and Michael (high school student at Emmanuel Christian Academy).
As an active member of WEFC, Sharan has provided leadership for our HOW Food Pantry for the past several years.
Sharan is a graduate of Nyack College and has worked at the Wethersfield United Methodist Church Pre-school for the past eight years. She grew up as a “PK” (pastor’s kid) and has a love for the Lord and for his people – the church.
Sharan brings with her a passion for children and families, an infectious spirit and enthusiasm, along with a commitment to see our children rooted firmly in their faith.
When asked why she desires to serve in this position, Sharan said, “We have a dedicated group of volunteers that faithfully serve our children and teach the foundation of our beliefs. My prayer is that these children will continue to grow, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and feel confident in sharing Jesus with others.”
July will be a transitional month for the Director of Children’s Ministry. Sharan will begin in July. At the same time, Shelagh Schuberth will continue in her role as Director through July to help with this transition. We are very grateful for all that Shelagh has done to serve our children and our families, and we are excited to see what God does through Sharan’s leadership.
