The EFCA – United in Purpose

RECENTLY, I RECEIVED a copy of the annual report from the EFCA. WEFC is part of the EFCA. We contribute financially to the EFCA. We are united in purpose with the EFCA.

So what is God doing in the EFCA?

Consider the following statistics:

  • 1,343 churches
  • 126 church plants
  • 276 multiethnic churches
  • 359,781 weekly church attendees
  • 48 countries with EFCA missionaries
  • 776 churches supporting EFCA missionaries
  • 5 crisis events providing help (hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria; wildfires in CA and Mexico City earthquake).
  • $1.6 million given to support Hurricane Harvey relief
  • 1,689 people volunteering to assist in relief
  • 118 churches sending Crisis Response teams
  • 23 churches assisted by the efforts of Crisis Response

Here is a 2 minute video that introduces you to some of the people of the EFCA.

How is WEFC united in purpose with the EFCA?

WEFC is represented in almost every statistic listed above. Each statistic, minus the last one.

  • Someday, we hope to add to the statistic on church planting. But it is our vision.
  • Someday, we hope to be more ethnically diverse than we are. It takes intentionality.

Either way, it is encouraging to see the way that WEFC and the EFCA are one in purpose and that we have something we are part of that extends beyond our local setting.
