A few disclaimers…

Forgive me if I missed someone. Let me know.

I recognize that others have gone from this church prior to the names on this list.

I also want to recognize the many from this era who are serving the Lord but are not in vocational ministry. Many of them are vital members of our church family.

That being said…

1 - This tells us something about what God is doing at WEFC. Psalm 145:4 says, “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” By God’s grace, this is our testimony. WEFC is a multi-generational church. For 130 years, this local church has passed faith on to the next generation and they are picking up that baton and are running the race.

2 - Your labor is not in vain! This is the fruit of those who serve in the nursery and who work with our children and youth. This is the fruit of your consistent presence in the church as you worship God in the good and hard times of life. This is the fruit of your prayers and your testimony. Paul encourages us in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

3 - Use this list of names as a prayer list and pray for the people on this list. Consider writing a note of encouragement to one of them, letting them know that WEFC has not forgotten them and that they are in our prayers.

4 - The next generation is sitting next to you each and every Sunday. Pray that God would continue to use WEFC to have generational impact long after we have gone to be with the Lord.

“They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness.”
