No matter where you are in your faith journey, at Wethersfield EFC we're serious about your spiritual growth. It starts with a first step.
First Step: Worship
At Wethersfield EFC, we value regular participation in a weekly worship service and consider this the launching point as you connect to God in the context of fellowship with other Christ followers. We have three services at 8:00 am, 9:30 am & 11:10 am.
Second Step: Community
We have three options to help you engage in community:
1. Let's Connect
We would love to meet you and your family, and have you meet our ministry staff in an informal setting. On a regular basis, we host a gathering for newcomers called, "Let's Connect." This pizza/salad lunch (no cost) is held after the 11:10 service and lasts about an hour. We'll get to know each other and share a little about our vision as a church.
The next "Let's Connect" gathering will be held Sunday, September 17th at 12:30 pm. You can let us know you'd like to attend by filling out this form. Or, if you prefer, you can fill out the Connection Card that is attached to our Sunday bulletin, stop at either Welcome Center, or at Sign-Up Central in the lower level. Children are welcome.
2. Exploring Faith
Exploring Faith is a small group conversational environment where people can learn about Christian faith and the central ideas of the Bible in the context of community. These 7-week sessions are great for those who are curious about God, Jesus, the Bible or Christianity, those who are new to a relationship with Jesus Christ, or anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of basic Christian faith. For more information, follow this link to Exploring Faith.
3. Community Group
A Community Group is made up of 8-16 people who generally meet on a weekly basis in homes during three terms throughout the year. Together they learn how to apply biblical principles in their daily living and to encourage and support one another. Most groups will involve sermon based studies of Scripture and are led by facilitators who are committed to helping you grow in your faith. This step is in addition to weekly worship. Follow this link to Community Groups to learn more.
Not sure which option is right you? Pastor Mike Conserva would love the opportunity to talk with you if you'd like help in finding the next step for you.
Third Step: Service
After weekly worship and community group involvement, the third step is service. We serve God and others by investing our time and abilities to support the various ministries of the church. Through our service, we help others become followers of Christ and grow in our own faith journey as well.
