WEFC Restrooms to Undergo Major Facelift

DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH, a major renovation of the main restrooms downstairs will begin. These restrooms are located on the east wall behind Fellowship Hall. This is one of the last projects of our Phase 1 Expansion Plan, and will take approximately 6 – 8 weeks to complete.

We are talking about a total gut job for this project. With the exception of a few upgrades along the way, many of the surfaces are original to when the church was built in the early 1960’s. To bring the restrooms up to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) code, walls will need to be moved, entrances widened, and handicap sinks, toilets and doors installed. In the end we will have beautiful new restrooms!

During this time four restrooms will remain available. For handicap accessibility, use the restrooms on the lower level next to Room 110 or on the second floor next to the elevator. There is also a restroom in the balcony as well as through the left front door of the sanctuary. See a map of the restrooms at WEFC here.

Like we did with the expansion projects undertaken during last summer, here are some pre-demolition or “before” pictures of our current restrooms. We look forward to seeing what they will look like “after” the renovations.
