Stephen Ministers are the "after" people. They care for people after the struggles or crises in life change everything.
There are many life situations that may necessitate a listening ear. Knowing that there is someone who will come along side of you to provide hope and support can help you face your circumstances while also renewing your relationship with God. Christian care by a trained Stephen Minister is a one-to-one, confidential caring relationship that is distinctively Christian. A Stephen Minister listens, cares, encourages, and prays for you and with you; he or she is present in your life during times of trials or crisis.
Each Stephen Minister has received over 50 hours of training, and you can count on his or her trustworthiness because your care relationship is personal and private. While Stephen Ministers are not counselors (they do not provide counsel or advice), their role as a caregiver is to listen, care and support you. If you need care or know of someone who does, please contact the church office to set up an appointment.
